Hello

If someone told me as a teenager that I would have my own business from doing what I love, I wouldn't have believed them. My passion for art started during school and I focused on creating portraits for my portfolios. My Art teacher at school was encouraging me to stay and take Art as an A-level but as passionate as I was, inevitably I thought I had to choose a 'real career' to succeed. So I went to College and University to become a primary school teacher.

During my training as a teacher, I loved interacting with children but it felt like something was missing. I felt an ongoing pressure and heavy workload which meant that I had no time for myself. Loosing time for myself meant that I was extremely unhappy and decided to take some time off from teaching and focus on myself.

I gravitated back towards art and it really helped to boost my happiness. My drawings caught the attention of my friends, who commissioned me to draw their dog. I couldn't believe that people wanted to pay for my drawings and believed in me. I was encouraged to share them on social media accounts and from there, my little art business began!

Since the start of my business back in 2022, I have created many portraits and have recently had a lot of interest in wedding portraits and stationary. I have also combined my First Class honours degree in children’s learning and development and my love for art by hosting an art session in a local school to support their art theme of animals. In my spare time, I love to travel which has widened my knowledge and experiences to inspire my future artwork. Travelling has grown my love and appreciation for animals and I want to express their importance through my drawings.

My biggest aim is to make a difference to the lives of children, adults and animals. It is so touching to see what difference a hand-drawn portrait can make to peoples lives and the perceptions we have on the natural world.
